An Example of Usings T-Shirts to Protest – Stop University Program Cuts

Students at Canterbury University in New Zealand are using t-shirts to protest budget cuts at the College of Arts. To protest the proposed cuts students attended a university forum wearing t-shirts with images of burning artwork and the phrase “Mummy, what were the arts?”. Students sold over 120 t-shirts to raise awareness and protest the proposed program cuts. The University has not yet made a final decision but it will be hard for the decision makers to overlook 100+ students who protested the cuts and wore t-shirts to get their message across.
