What to Wear to a Class Reunion

Class Reunion

When your class reunion roles around it is a great opportunity for you to see your old friends and school mates and it is sure to be a fun time had by all. You can take the time spent there and learn about what everyone has done with the past ten years of their lives and compare stories with everyone you run into.

Getting ready to go to a class reunion can be stressful though as you may run into a problem deciding what to wear. This stress can be eliminated by doing a little planning ahead for both guys and gals alike. Here are some tips to get you on the right track to class reunion success:

Primp up early: Before you decide what you will be wearing, be sure you will look your best in it by getting all your primping done before the reunion rolls around. This means getting your hair done and colored, getting a manicure, pedicure, you name it. Don’t wait until the last minute and scramble, instead start the week before the reunion. This will give you plenty of time and leave you much less stressed. You should also try on your outfit and be sure that it fits you before the actual night of the reunion.

Women: A safe bet is the little black dress for the women. The length should be about down to the top of the knee and whether or not you want it sleeveless or just short sleeved will be a personal preference on how much skin you are alright with showing. If it is chilly out you can jazz up the look with a bright wrap. Dress up the look with a nice pair of sandals that are on the risqué side and carry a small purse that matches. Bring out the black in the dress by wearing silver colored jewelry and go with a bold bracelet to tie in the whole outfit. This will leave you looking as great as the day you graduated from school.

Men: Men can’t go wrong with a nice suit that is topped off with a stylish looking neck tie. Of course you may not want to get that fancy in which case you can probably get away with just wearing a pair of dress pants and a long sleeved button down shirt. As for the tie, if you are not sure whether or not you want to wear one simply put a good looking one in your pocket. Once you get to the reunion take a minute or two before you get out of the car and observe what all the other guys are wearing. If the majority of them have on a neck tie then you can wear yours, if not you can keep it in your pocket just in case or you can leave it behind in the car.

Above all else be yourself and have fun. You certainly want to dress to impress but you should never feel like you have to act like you are something you are not, not even at your class reunion.

How to Dress like a Teacher

Those Who CAN Do, Teach: Be a Teacher with Custom Printed T-shirts

Dressing like a teacher seems pretty easy to most people. You go to your closet, you put on something awful. Done! Better yet, you find a ten year old t-shirt from the Sierra Club and tuck it in to a broom skirt. With an outfit like that, the only thing you’d be missing is a teacher’s certificate.

The fact is that teachers get a bad rap when it comes to fashion. Let’s face it: these ladies (and gentlemen) have a tough job. You can’t blame them for wanting to be comfortable. They also have to be tasteful yet professionally dressed. The classroom is not always the place to make a fashion statement. Thus the bad t-shirts, brooms skirts, and weathered loafers.

However, being that t-shirts are a main staple in the teacher’s closet, you can’t dress like a teacher without them. That is not to say that the t-shirts in question have to be devoid of all modernity and style. In fact, it’s just the opposite. T-shirts are a great place to demonstrate your own personality and creativity while you dress like a teacher.

Just think if you could actually design and print your own t-shirts? Then, dressing like a teacher would be creative, fun, and cool. With custom t-shirt printing services, you can! Custom t-shirt printers can print almost anything you can think of on a t-shirt. Your options are only limited by your imagination.

If you’re going to dress like a teacher, then you’re going to have to think like a teacher. When you’re thinking like a teacher, you’ll have an unlimited supply of ideas as to how you can design your own custom printed t-shirts. You can even design t-shirts that correspond with the day’s lesson. Your custom printed t-shirt can even be a discussion starter for the students. Teaching ‘Hamlet’? Wear a t-shirt that says “To be, or not to be” and your students will never forget just ‘what’ the question is.

But dressing like a teacher doesn’t mean that you have to dress like you just stepped out of a catalogue specializing in frump gear. There’s no need to unearth your faded and thoughtless t-shirts from college and beyond with reckless abandon. Be relieved that you won’t need to rob your mother of her broom skirts hidden in the back of her closet in case they ‘come back in style.’ They never will. Not even for teachers.

That’s right. With custom t-shirt printing, you can dress like a teacher that has great personal style and endless creativity. All of your fellow teachers—or teacher impersonators—will be wondering where you got all of the great t-shirts. Teachers are hard-working and underpaid, so be sure to spread the word about your new found secret to great teacher style.

Custom t-shirt printing allows teachers and non-teachers alike to create awesome, unique t-shirts that are both trendy and functional. Be more comfortable in front of your classroom in a t-shirt printed with a design of your very own.

How to Dress for School

When going to school, there is a lot of debate about the best type of outfits to wear. There are many different people who will tell you what they think the best thing to wear to school is. However, how to dress for school depends on several different variables. Ultimately, the decision is yours and is a matter of personal preference unless you have a school uniform.

When you consider what to wear, find out about the dress code first. Some schools are stricter than others and some won’t allow halter tops or even shorts. Some schools won’t allow t-shirts with words printed on them and others that allow any belly to be revealed at all. Also remember that teachers will treat you differently depending on what you’re wearing, no matter what they might tell you. If you are dressed inappropriately, you may find that some teachers aren’t as accommodating when you need them to be.

Casual clothing

No matter what the dress code, most students want to dress as casually as possible. If you dress up each day, you risk being made fun of by the other students and maybe even the faculty. T-shirts are generally the uniform of the school years in most schools. Just make sure your T-shirt doesn’t violate any rules because of vulgarities or being too short.

Along with your T-shirts, make sure you have plenty of pairs of jeans. Jeans don’t have to be boring, however. You can get jeans in different colors, with different wash styles, or you can rip them up for a new statement if your school will allow it. You can wear baggy jeans for a casual statement or skinny jeans for one that says you are more fashion conscious.

A skirt or a pair of slacks can also work well for a casual look. A long skirt won’t impede movement that much, and a pair of dark blue slacks can be just as casual as a pair of jeans when worn with a t-shirt.

Shoes

Most people where tennis shoes or sandals to school, but don’t let that be the only thing you ever wear. Wearing one or two different pairs of tennis shoes everyday can get boring and can feel uninspired. Don’t be afraid to wear flats or boots to school occasionally. Flats are almost as comfortable as tennis shoes. Boots, after they are worn in, can be every bit as comfortable. Mix up your look up by adding a pair of leather boots to an outfit occasionally.

Accessories

Accessories are a great way to individualize your look. Don’t be afraid to experiment and play with different accessories. Try out different combinations of bracelets, earrings, necklaces, watches and hair accessories. You may find that love wearing five bracelets and that may become your signature look. Or, you may find that one simple necklace is plenty of jewelry for you.

Handbags are another way to show off your individual style to matter what the dress code. For the fashion conscious, choose a designer bag. For the vintage chic crowd, choose a vintage handbag from a thrift store. For the creative types, individualize one yourself with fabric markers or by sewing your own handbag.
