A student group in Santa Barbara was formed to try an educate the UCSB student body and community on how to prevent and raise awareness of rape. To raise awareness the group started the “It Affects Me” t-shirt campaign. For a week, student body members are encouraged to show their support by wearing an “It Affects Me” T-shirt. Students can get an free organic and sweatshop-free t-shirt on campus. This t-shirt campaign coincides with Sexual Assault Awareness Month in April.
