Why Wear Two Layered T-Shirts At The Same Time

Layered shirts

T-shirts are a fun part of any wardrobe. You can use them in a variety of ways to easily spice up your wardrobe. They are an inexpensive way to add color to an outfit and change the look of it. They easily work in casual situations, as well as more structured ones. One of the fun things about T-shirts is how well they work for layering. In fact most layered looks include at least one tee. Many people even opt to layer two shirts over each other for a variety of reasons.

Often times, layering is simply in order to stay dry and warm. By doubling up with two short sleeve T-shirts, the under layer will keep sweat away from your body, while the upper layer will serve to keep you warm and comfortable. This is a very useful technique for those who exercise outside. Opt for lightweight, non-cotton tees as the layer next to the skin.

Some people have a problem with excess perspiration and wear two T-shirts at once to deal with the problem. By layering, the under T-shirt tends to hold the worst of the sweat and the individual can still give the appearance of being dry and confident with the outer tee.

Some people layer in order to get more wear out a favorite T-shirt or one that needs to be worn often. Whether you have a T-shirt for work, a special event or some other reason that needs to be worn regularly, you will be able to get away with washing it less often if you layer another T-shirt under it. Typically our T-shirts need to go in the washer because we have worn it next to our skin and it has absorbed oils and odors. However, with T-shirt layering, the under shirt is the one that gets the dirt. This works great as long as you don’t do something to get the outer layer dirty too.

Sometimes individuals choose to layer T-shirts if the shirt next to the skin is see through. With age some T-shirts wear out to a point that you can see through them easily. Other shirts are transparent even when new. If you are uncomfortable wearing such shirts but still love the style, feel or design of the tee and want to wear it, a good option is to layer it under other T-shirts.

Many people simply love the look of 2 layered T-shirts and wear them as a part of their personal fashion style. It allows you to easily throw in a touch of color to your outfit or to create a fun color combination in your clothes that stands out. Layering T-shirts in the two colors of your favorite sports team is a popular layering style.

Rate My Style, I Just Wear T-Shirts

Do you love t-shirts? Do you love them so much that you wear little or nothing else besides t-shirts? Just because you wear nothing but t-shirts, it doesn’t mean that you have poor style. If you know how to wear t-shirts well, can keep them in good condition and will get rid of your older, more worn t-shirts, you can have great style for far less than many other types of clothing would cost.

If you only wear t-shirts, it’s important to keep them in good condition. With a worn, old t-shirt, it’s easy to look sloppy and far too casual for many situations. Keep your t-shirts in good condition by washing them only as often as you need to and using pre-treating stain removers to get out the worst stains.

Keep white t-shirts looking great by occasionally washing them with bleach. This will keep them looking bright white instead of getting dingy over time. Using some baking soda in the wash can also help them to look their best and whitest. If you sweat a lot, consider wearing a t-shirt under your white t-shirt to keep the underarm’s from looking yellowed and stiff.

Most t-shirts will last a long time and through many washes. By taking good care for t-shirt, it can last 50, 60 washes or more. However, there comes a time when a t-shirt should be discarded and replaced with a brand-new one. If your entire wardrobe is t-shirts, it’s a good idea to occasionally look through your shirts and make sure that they are all in good, wearable condition. If they have holes in them that are noticeable, it’s best to get rid of the shirt. If you have t-shirts that are stained and you’ve tried in vain to get the stains out with no success, it’s best to get rid of those shirts as well.

Just because you wear t-shirts only, it doesn’t mean that you always look casual. It’s easy to dress up t-shirts with a fitted blazer and a nice pair of pants. A t-shirt, slacks and a pair of high heels or dress shoes look dressy as well as being comfortable. Make sure to coordinate the color of your t-shirt, pants, jacket and shoes. Even if the shirt is in good shape, it will not look its best if it is worn with clashing colors. Stick with an overall group of colors in your outfit. For instance, an outfit can have an earth-tone theme with a green t-shirt, brown pants and dark brown shoes. Or, you can have a citrus theme with a yellow t-shirt, an orange skirt and yellow flats.

If you take some care with the way you look and you take good care of your t-shirts, you can have impeccable style while wearing nothing but t-shirts every day. You can be the envy of your friends because you always look so well put together without having spent a fortune on your wardrobe. With a little work, your style can easily rate a 10.

Why Do People Wear T-Shirt Undershirts?

You find out rather young why people wear t-shirt undershirts. You learn why the first time you wear a nice white dress shirt without an undershirt a few times. Soon, that same beloved white dress shirt is white everywhere except two places. One place is under your right arm and the other is under your left. Now, it might be worse under you right arm than your left. In fact if you are a righty it usually will be. If you are a lefty, it will be worse under your left. But, make no mistake about it. Soon your white dress shirt will have two yellowish, brownish stains under them. This is not a very pleasant sight to most people and is it professional looking? Forget it.

Now you can go ahead and launder that shirt with the very best of detergents. I mean, go ahead, and add bleach. Do whatever you want to do. Take your shirts to be dry-cleaned if you want. But, in the end, you will still have a shirt with two stains. This happens, unless of course, you wear a t-shirt undershirt. See the difference as the stain eventually effects your undershirts but not your dress shirts so much. You remain looking great in your white dress shirt because, yes, it actually remains a white dress shirt everywhere. You even look professional again.

T-shirt undershirts even make you smell better. That’s right. They make you smell better. No matter how much underarm deodorant you wear, you will still smell at least a little as the day moves on. For some, it is not just a little smell, but a lot. Your t-shirt, while not a deodorant in and of itself, keeps your smell from heading out to the world where it can do damage. That is, where it can do damage to others. We are usually blissfully unaware of our own stink. So, there is all the more reason to be careful and wear an undershirt.

T-shirt undershirts have many other great uses too. For one, they simply look good and give you a polished look even in more casual outfits. Seeing that undershirt at your opened color tells others that you care about your appearance. It does make you look good. What’s more it’s not a parka, but a t-shirt undershirt also gives you just a little more warmth on brisk days. The undershirt, usually made out of 100% cotton is also usually more comfortable against your skin then whatever shirt you are wearing on the outside.

So, in many ways, the undershirt is a big part of the overall wardrobe. There are usually many in all of our drawers. Tough is the day when the drawer is empty because they are all in the wash. That’s when we know we let the laundry go too long. That’s when we know we need to have more on hand. Those undershirts are just too important.

The “Short and Long” of T-Shirts – About T-Shirt Length

In order for you to look the best in your t-shirt, you want to find the most flattering length and style. There are so many styles available these days that it’s easy to find one that looks great on you. Here are some tips for finding just the right style of t-shirt.

Cropped t-shirts can vary in length, but generally they expose the wearer’s belly. They’re not designed to be tucked in. Cropped t-shirts can have any length of sleeve—from sleeveless or halter tops to long-sleeved. They’re definitely a style for more casual wear. In fact, many schools and offices have banned cropped t-shirts. And because they’re so revealing, they’re best for the young—or young at heart—to wear.

T-shirts that hit at the hip are more versatile and flattering. They can be worn untucked and still look neat. If the belly, hips, or behind are problem areas for you, you want to make sure that the t-shirt doesn’t emphasize what you want to hide. They can be dressed up or down for many different situations.

A tunic t-shirt can be a very stylish look. This style works especially well over a short skirt or slim-fitting pants. Tunic t-shirts can’t be tucked in without looking bulky. They’re left untucked to keep a sleek appearance. They’re sometimes made with shirttail hems to give the style more flair. Tunic tops go over the hips and cover a lot of problem areas. On those with thinner figures, they’re not so flattering.

When you look at different styles of t-shirts, you can also consider the sleeve lengths. Sleeveless t-shirts such as tank tops are good for athletic, warm weather, and casual wear. Some sleeveless tees that are made from a finer fabric and have a more conservative cut that are suitable for office wear.

Short-sleeved shirts are the most classic style of t-shirt. There’s a reason for that – they work in so many different settings and situations. This style of t-shirt can be worn as a layering piece under a blazer or sweater in cooler weather. It can also be worn on its own in warmer weather or for athletic wear.

If you’re self-conscious about your upper arms, you can go with a three-quarter length t-shirt. In recent years the three-quarter length has become a very popular style, and with good reason. It’s such a versatile style that offers enough coverage for office wear or conservative situations, but has a fresh, fun look, and keeps you cooler than a long-sleeved shirt.

Long-sleeved t-shirts can be an important piece in a cool-weather wardrobe. They offer maximum arm coverage for conservative settings or for when you need to stay warm. A very popular look these days is to layer a short-sleeved t-shirt over a long sleeved t-shirt. Some long-sleeved t-shirts made from finer knit fabrics with fun details such as a ruffled hem or neckline work well for dressier or office wear.

It’s important to build a wardrobe of t-shirts with styles that suit many different situations. As you can see, there are so many lengths and sleeve types to choose from, that choosing the t-shirt styles that fit your lifestyle can be fun and easy!
