V-neck T-shirts, like all types of T-shirts, come in all sizes, colors and styles. The neckline of a T-shirt is not typically something that changes very much; however, a V-neck T-shirt leaves a lot of room for variation. What Type Of T-Shirt Seam Is The Fanciest?

There are many things that can determine how fancy a T-shirt is perceived as being. The cut of the shirt, the fabric used in making it, the color of the shirt, the style and the design are all very important. These components help to make a T-shirt seem fancier or plainer than others. However, there is also the use of seams in adding to the fanciness of a tee.

Some of the more fancy seams to be featured on a T-shirt include the following.

•    Shirring: In this type of seam, extra fullness is added. It lends a nice touch of femininity to a T-shirt. It is usually found around the neckline or where the shoulders meet the sleeves. Such T-shirts are very distinctive and are definitely for dressing up. Casual tees do not get made using shirring.
•    Bound Seams: A thin, folded layer of fabric is sewn over the edge of the T-shirt seam. It stops any potential unraveling and makes for a very neat, attractive and fancy T-shirt seam. It is typically used at the neckline and at hems, not for side seams or shoulder seams.
•    Flat seams are also the somewhat fancy. The two edges of the material are placed side by side and a cover stitch is used to sew them together. This makes for a very neat, flat seam that can also be seen as fancy.
•    Superimposed seams are typically used to create side and shoulder seams on a T-shirt. They are created in the traditional way of creating seams, two pieces of fabric back to back, sewn together. Not a very fancy seam, but definitely a useful and practical one.
•    Lapped seams also exist in T-shirt making, but like superimposed seams, there is little that is fancy or out of the ordinary about these seams that are created by two or more overlapped pieces of material.

Choosing a T-shirt seam that is the fanciest is rather difficult as everyone has different tastes. Bound seams and shirring are the fanciest seams as defined by most people, however others may prefer the others and find their simplicity more inviting and fancy.

Do you love t-shirts? Do you love them so much that you wear little or nothing else besides t-shirts? Just because you wear nothing but t-shirts, it doesn’t mean that you have poor style. If you know how to wear t-shirts well, can keep them in good condition and will get rid of your older, more worn t-shirts, you can have great style for far less than many other types of clothing would cost.

If you only wear t-shirts, it’s important to keep them in good condition. With a worn, old t-shirt, it’s easy to look sloppy and far too casual for many situations. Keep your t-shirts in good condition by washing them only as often as you need to and using pre-treating stain removers to get out the worst stains.

Keep white t-shirts looking great by occasionally washing them with bleach. This will keep them looking bright white instead of getting dingy over time. Using some baking soda in the wash can also help them to look their best and whitest. If you sweat a lot, consider wearing a t-shirt under your white t-shirt to keep the underarm’s from looking yellowed and stiff.

Most t-shirts will last a long time and through many washes. By taking good care for t-shirt, it can last 50, 60 washes or more. However, there comes a time when a t-shirt should be discarded and replaced with a brand-new one. If your entire wardrobe is t-shirts, it’s a good idea to occasionally look through your shirts and make sure that they are all in good, wearable condition. The A-shirt is one that has fallen out of favor recently because of the “wife beater” nickname commonly used in the press and among young people. The A-shirt is a thin undershirt that is vertically ribbed. Some people wear these undershirts under their t-shirts in order to keep their sweat from soaking through to their outer t-shirt.

V-Neck Shirt

A V-neck shirt is an undershirt that has a V-shaped neckline in the front. V-necks are very popular garments because the wearer doesn’t have to worry about how high their over-shirt is in the front and their undershirt peeking out above it.

Once you find this perfect size, buy a lot of them to ensure that you always have clean undershirts.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day is only one of four United States federal holidays to honor an individual person. It’s observed on the third Monday in January, around the time of King’s birthday, which is January 15.

A campaign for the holiday started soon after he was assassinated in 1968. It was signed into law in 1983, and first observed three years later. Some states balked at the idea of designating an entire day to the fallen leader, but all 50 were on board by the year 2000. Americans typically celebrate the day with a parade. This year, why not set yourself apart from the crowd of spectators with your own custom designed T-shirt?

Why Do People Wear T-Shirt Undershirts?

You find out rather young why people wear t-shirt undershirts. You learn why the first time you wear a nice white dress shirt without an undershirt a few times. Soon, that same beloved white dress shirt is white everywhere except two places. One place is under your right arm and the other is under your left. Now, it might be worse under you right arm than your left. In fact if you are a righty it usually will be. If you are a lefty, it will be worse under your left. But, make no mistake about it. Soon your white dress shirt will have two yellowish, brownish stains under them. This is not a very pleasant sight to most people and is it professional looking? Forget it.

Now you can go ahead and launder that shirt with the very best of detergents. I mean, go ahead, and add bleach. Do whatever you want to do. Take your shirts to be dry-cleaned if you want. But, in the end, you will still have a shirt with two stains. This happens, unless of course, you wear a t-shirt undershirt. See the difference as the stain eventually effects your undershirts but not your dress shirts so much. You remain looking great in your white dress shirt because, yes, it actually remains a white dress shirt everywhere. You even look professional again.

T-shirt undershirts even make you smell better. That’s right. They make you smell better. No matter how much underarm deodorant you wear, you will still smell at least a little as the day moves on. For some, it is not just a little smell, but a lot. Your t-shirt, while not a deodorant in and of itself, keeps your smell from heading out to the world where it can do damage. That is, where it can do damage to others. We are usually blissfully unaware of our own stink. So, there is all the more reason to be careful and wear an undershirt.

T-shirt undershirts have many other great uses too. For one, they simply look good and give you a polished look even in more casual outfits. Seeing that undershirt at your opened color tells others that you care about your appearance. It does make you look good. What’s more it’s not a parka, but a t-shirt undershirt also gives you just a little more warmth on brisk days. The undershirt, usually made out of 100% cotton is also usually more comfortable against your skin then whatever shirt you are wearing on the outside.

So, in many ways, the undershirt is a big part of the overall wardrobe. There are usually many in all of our drawers. Tough is the day when the drawer is empty because they are all in the wash. That’s when we know we let the laundry go too long. That’s when we know we need to have more on hand. Those undershirts are just too important.

Top ten exciting moments of this past year: this idea would be great for a group of people who have indeed spent the past year together. If you’re celebrating with family, close friends, classmates, or coworkers, wouldn’t it be fun to countdown the top ten office scandals, wedding proposals, baby births, or other exciting times? You could even take suggestions ahead of time, so that people would be excited to find out whether their choices for top exciting moment of this past year were chosen. The unveiling of the t-shirts will then be much more suspenseful and exciting. This idea is great if you want to make matching t-shirts for a whole group of people. This way, your party guests can and will spend the whole evening reminiscing about the past year and looking forward to the next.

Top ten New Year’s resolutions: this idea will work with any type of party. You could make just one t-shirt for yourself, or make on that will apply to all of the guests at your party. The resolutions can be as specific (stop stealing the stapler off of so-and-so’s desk!) or general (swim more!) as you wish. That will depend on the people you are making the t-shirt for.

People love to wear their t-shirts because they are so comfortable in many different types of weather. The fabric that is used for most t-shirts is chosen because of many factors- its breathability, its shape, its ease of washing, and also for its high level of absorbency. Cotton and wool are generally seen as the two most absorbent fabrics available for clothing. Both are natural and both are extremely absorbent types of fabrics.

Cotton and wool are both absorbent enough to take dyes and colors very well. This is what gives them their extremely broad range of colors and designs available. However, wool is generally not used for t-shirts because it has other properties as well. Wool is a very warm fabric, and that’s something that most t-shirt owners aren’t looking for. When they put on a t-shirt, they expect to stay cool and comfortable. This is best done with cotton instead of wool. Wool can also cause reactions in some people and it’s known to be an itchy fabric. This has made cotton the all-around favorite for t-shirt wearers.

Synthetic fabrics are sometimes substituted for cotton in t-shirts, but they are not as absorbent as cotton. So far, there has not been a synthetic t-shirt fabric that is as absorbent as the natural fibers of cotton. And for holding a variety of dye colors, that’s extremely important. Because cotton is so absorbent, it will hold not only synthetic dyes, but a wide range of natural dyes. Plant-based dyes, vegetable dyes and others are often used with cotton because they will be readily absorbed and will stay looking great for a long period of time and over many washes.

Another way that the absorbency of cotton helps with comfort is with keeping the t-shirt wearer cool. This is because of cotton’s ability to absorb liquids quickly and easily. When a t-shirt wearer sweats, a synthetic fabric may repel that sweat, keeping the wearer wet and uncomfortable. But, cotton t-shirts will absorb that sweat and keep it from soaking the wearer’s skin. This allows the sweat to evaporate better than if a synthetic fabric was holding it in. It allows the wearer to cool off but to be kept cool and drier than if the t-shirt was made out of another fabric.

Cotton’s absorbency may not be something that most people think about when they are putting on their t-shirt, but it’s one of the factors that makes a cotton t-shirt more comfortable than many other garments. Its softness and its absorbency go together to make a breathable t-shirt that takes on the sweat and oil that can make a person feel uncomfortable if they are left on the skin for long periods of time. No synthetic material will do this. For all of these reasons, cotton is by far the most common type of fabric that is used in t-shirts. People all over the world use it in their t-shirts as well as many of their other items of clothing.

What Makes a T-Shirt More Dressy?

A t-shirt is one of the most versatile parts of anyone’s wardrobe. A t-shirt of any color can be made dressy or casual with just a few simple steps. If a person needs a dressy outfit, a t-shirt can be made to look like a part of a dressy outfit. If the occasion is far more casual, the same t-shirt can be worn in that occasion and fit in just as well. It’s possible to wear a t-shirt to the dressiest occasion if it is presented in the right way.

There are two main things that determine how dressy a t-shirt looks. The first of these is the presentation. That means that if a t-shirt is wrinkled or left un-tucked, it will not look as dressy as if it is free of wrinkles and tucked in to the pants or skirt you are wearing. To make it look even more dressy, add a little starch to the t-shirt. Simply lay the t-shirt flat and spray starch lightly on to the shirt to make it look a little straighter.

The second criteria for making a t-shirt look more dressy is the accessories that are used with it. Any t-shirt can be dressed up by simply adding a few pieces to the outfit. If the t-shirt is paired with a dressy necklace, it will add an interesting touch to the outfit and will make it look dressier. If the necklace is paired with matching earrings and perhaps a matching bracelet, it will look that much dressier. A scarf or a dressy sweater paired with the shirt can also lend a more formal look to a t-shirt.

The type of shoes are worn with a t-shirt is also a big consideration. If the outfit is worn with any type of athletic shoes, the outfit will look far more causal. Flip flops also look extremely causal. But, with dressy shoes, the outfit immediately becomes dressier. A man should wear loafers or black dress shoes along with the outfit. A woman can wear high heels or dressy flats with the outfit for a dressy look.

Pair the jacket with a pair of slacks or a skirt instead of jeans to give it a more elegant look. Jeans almost always look casual, and it’s harder to dress up anything if it’s worn with jeans. If the t-shirt is tucked in, also try pairing a dressy belt with it. The combination of a dressy belt and a tucked-in shirt will immediately make the outfit look better put together.

Wearing a jacket over a t-shirt is another option for making it look dressy. With a nice jacket, the t-shirt will look like a part of a complete, dressy outfit. Try to match the jacket to the color of the t-shirt as well as the color of the pants. How well these colors go together can have a lot to do with how presentable the entire outfit is. If the colors don’t match, the entire outfit looks more casual.

Why is a Black T-Shirt Hotter Than a White One?

Anyone who has been out in the sun in a black t-shirt has likely noticed that sunlight makes the shirt get hotter and hotter under the sun. If you’ve worn a white t-shirt, you may have noticed the opposite effect and how cool it kept you. You might have also left a white t-shirt out in the sun and felt that it was a little warm when you picked it up. If you leave a black t-shirt out in the sun, however, it will feel far hotter when you pick it up. That is because of the way light is absorbed or refracted by different colors.

The darker the color of the t-shirt, the more light the t-shirt will absorb. This is why a dark t-shirt will heat up in the sunlight- it is absorbing the light of the sun. And along with the light of the sun comes the heat of the sun. So, the longer the t-shirt is out in the sunlight, the hotter it’s going to get. A black t-shirt is the darkest color and will therefore get hotter than any other color t-shirt.

A white t-shirt works very differently. The color white actually deflects light and heat away from it. It doesn’t absorb light and heat the way that other colors do. Wearing a white t-shirt will always keep you cooler than wearing a darker-colored one. If you will be outside in the sun for a long time, wearing a white t-shirt is a good way to keep cool. It will probably keep you cooler than if you weren’t wearing a shirt at all.

If you wear a black t-shirt out in direct sunlight for any length of time, especially, if it’s a hot day, you will likely become extremely uncomfortable. If you know you will be in the sun all day for a specific activity, plan ahead by choosing to wear a white t-shirt for the day. Even if the t-shirt doesn’t go as well with the rest of your outfit, it will keep you far more comfortable. After a few hours in the sun in a black t-shirt, you may stop caring about how the outfit looks and wish you had instead chosen the cooler t-shirt.

If you will be outside without water, it’s even more important to make sure that you are wearing a white or light-colored t-shirt. It will cause you to sweat less under the sun and you will lose less of your hydration.

The way that a black t-shirt and a white t-shirt absorb heat and light will also factor into how long it takes each of them to dry. Sweat is produced by the body in order to keep the body cool. But, if you sweat on a hot day in a black t-shirt, that sweat will evaporate quickly- possibly before it even has a chance to cool down your body temperature. In a white t-shirt, however, it will not evaporate as quickly and you will have the benefit of letting it cool you down.
